How to switch off my device searching for a sensor?

I have one bike computer, the 1030, and I use it for both MTB and Gravel. For my gravel bike I use the Varia bike radar, but not for MTB. SO when I go mtb, the computer keeps searching for the radar. Is this standard? I'm worried about battery life, in that the computer keeps searching for a radar thats not there, as its on my gravel bike. It also keeps flashing the 'searching for sensor' light in the top right corner, and its quite anoying. How do I circumvent this? Can I not adjust the settings somehow that the 1030 stops searching after a while and just, you now, chill?

If a sensor isn’t awake, the Edge should stop searching for it about 2 minutes after an activity is started. Just make sure it isn’t awake on the other bike.

Otherwise, it would need to be disabled in the sensor menu.

Thaks Peter, but this is 3 hours into a ride, still searching. I guess I have a problem......

I should have added that is on a 530 and I'm assuming the 1030P would do the same.

I think the search logic may make an exception for the radar because of the safety aspect of losing a connection. I would not think that the battery drain of keeping a channel open for searching would be that much.

Another solution would be to be able to add sensors to specific activityprofiles. Both my roadbike and my mtb have their own speed/cadence sensors, so after choosing an activityprofile my 1030+ should know what sensors are to be connected. As a workaround i now manually switch the specific sensors on/off, which means a lot fiddling in the menu.

And yet another solution would be if the 1030+ prompts before hitting Start: "What sensors would you like to connect?" and then let you choose from the list of known sensors.
