I went on Audax 400km solo just and my Garmin displayed route calculation error. It forces me to dnf . My gps was hot , auto shuts down and simply would not show me the proper routes except multiple errors
please advise

I've experienced this, but the causes for me were obvious.
If I try to begin a route, or I find myself way off any road on my maps when it tries to reroute, it will fail with a "route calculation error".
For instance, if I'm 200 meters inside a parking lot that is not on the map when I try to start the route, it will fail. Getting closer to the road in that case fixed it. I tested this almost a dozen times and it was always relating to how far I was from the actual road on the map.
I've also seen it happen in the middle of a ride should it decide it wants to reroute but I'm not on or near a road that's in my maps. Basically, it knows I'm a road rider but it can't find a road to get me onto the route.
I've never had my Edge 1030 Plus overheat, though I've only tested it up to about 42c in direct sunshine. I've had it crash a few times but there was no exceptional heat or sun happening at the time, so I chalked it up to crummy software, not overheating.
Otherwise, the Edge 1030 Plus has been fine. While it might aggravate me on occasion, it only screws up when I most desperately need it not to, which fortunately isn't often. ;)
