Losing basemaps midride

When I put my 1030 asleep, I’ve had the basemaps disappear twice in the past few days. Looking at the list of maps on the map info screen, the maps are still there but turning them off and on has no affect.

Any ideas as to what’s causing this would be appreciated

  • Hi Former Member, when you notice the basemap gone, what does your navigation screen look like? How many GPS bars does the edge have when you notice this? Also, do you have an activity paused when you are putting the edge to sleep?

    1. It still shows the current route but on a blank background.

    2. Didn’t note the strength but my relative position along the route is still correct. I didn’t jump up ahead orbackwards

    3. the activity was still running.

do you think having the same basemap on the sd card and the devices memory created a conflict? I wouldn’t expect that to be the case outside of a power cycle
