RTL515 drops connection frequently

I recently got a Varia RTL515 but am having problems with frequent and very annoying disconnects (causes a lot of beeping). I don't recall having this issue with my RT510 so am wondering if this is more likely a Varia problem or the 1030+ that has been reported to have sensor connection issues. In any case, I'm going to go back to the RTL510 and see if it's still more reliable.

Hi gordonwd ! What software version is your Edge and RTL515 on? Do you have any other devices mounted around either the edge or the radar possibly causing interference? Please also try having the Edge forget the radar completely and re-pair it.

Everything is up to date with the Edge on V6.40 and the RTL515 with V3.32. As for other devices, my phone and (Garmin) watch are using Bluetooth. I think I've only used the 515 with my Specialized e-bike that puts out several ANT+ signals for power, cadence, e-bike functions, etc.

Same here. Today i went for a short 40k ride and had 10+ disconnects. It has been like this for months, allthough before all sensors used to be lost, so i think the recent updates of Speed and Cadence sensors helped.

It's possible you are experiencing interference, do you use the RTL510 on the e-bike or a different bike?

If you would read my reply above, I said that it was an RTL515 and that I was using it on an e-bike (although I have other bikes). In any case, I went back to my RTL510 on the e-bike yesterday and it worked fine with no drops. So I'll probably stick with the 510 since the 515 has no particular advantages for me.
