Impossible to edit Edge 1030 tracks or activities with Basecamp.

Hi the community.

I cannot edit any track or activity with Basecamp on my Edge 1030 Plus, for example renaming tracks/activities, or changing their color. Editing fields remain grey and unavailable. Is it normal ? For info, I can edit waypoints, but not tracks/activities.

I meet this problem only with the Edge 1030 Plus. No problem with my other devices (Fenix 6, Oregon 750t and VIRB).

Seems to work for the 1030+. Basecamp copies the activity to your PC.

The activity file needs to be added into the Basecamp Library (“Receive from device”) before it can be edited. It isn’t possible to do it directly on the Edge (or at least a 530 as far as I know).

OK, thanks a lot, it's very clear. This problem is therefore "normal". But I don't understand why the edition isn't possible directly on the device. We can do it with handheld GPS like Oregon series, why not with Edge ? Why to do easy when complicated can be done...

Or, is it simply a not yet resolved bug ?
