Start/stop course

After starting a course, I often meet with friends and want to choose a different course, all stored in my Edge 1030plus. How can I stop the old course and start a new one without saving the first ride and starting everything (time/mileage, etc) over?

Press the little red stop sign on the lower left if the map screen.

Or just pick another course. You’ll be asked if you want to stop using the current course. You don’t even need to pick another course.

Recording an activity is a separate thing.
