How do you add Edge 1040 to Garmin Connect?

Edge 1040 does not show in Garmin Connect Mobile (Andoid), so I'm unable to pair it.

In Garmin Express, the device is found, but when I try to add it, it says "Unable to register device".

Anoyone had success connecting the Edge 1040 to the Connect universe?

Same issue. I came here hoping I'd find an answer. Guess we have to wait until it's officially released?

Likewise. Haven't yet figured out how to get it into storage mode either. Never mind; used the right cable (the one that comes with it) and it works. Can't register it with Garmin Experess yet either.

I'd think you can't register because the device isn't supposed to be released until tomorrow. Give it a day and it will probably be fine. If you're in a country where it's already the 8th, Garmin is likely waiting until a certain hour to enable the 1040 as a released product.

Did you all happen to find these in stores that accidentally put them on shelves today??

Sorry but is it a Euro or American version? Can you browse maps of Asia countries and see if the maps are in English or the local language? Thanks.

It found the Edge 1040 stylus immediately, but for the Edge 1040 itself it says "Unable to register device".
