Only device holding the connection is my Vector 3
Wahoo HRM drops
Di2 drops
Varia radar drops
eventually they just give up trying to reconnect.
C'mon Garmin seriously WTF
Is it possible to roll back?

Wow, a lot of patience! But I can't believe the solution would be to reset the Edge time and time again until issues magically go away! Come on Garmin!!
It's been the same issue for the last few FW updates. Not sure what the cause is. I also hope Garmin is looking into this. Quite annoying.
Update: Not sure I can say with any certainty I've resolved the issue but this is what I done.
Whilst on a ride and getting more and more frustrated with the constant drops and having to manually reconnect…
It's surprising the number of various posts out here talking about the same issues with drop outs. The wife and I have 2 1030+ units and we both have 2 heart rate monitors. Both 1030+ units have drop outs on all 4 heart rate monitors. I have tried device resets and reconnects with no joy. It should be noted that the heart rate monitors work perfectly with our Bolt, Roam, and phones; so it's not the HR monitors. Hopefully if we all as community just keep posting the same thing maybe Garmin will do something. It seems like Garmin's strategy might be to roll out a new GPS (the 1040) and then roll out updates to make older units not work so well so people might buy the newest unit.
If someone from Garmin reads this, please note that heart rate monitors tend to be a key item as they help riders and racers pace themselves. I would hate to see someone over pace themself and have health issue as a result since they were relying on their GPS to provide them with reliable information. I just thought I would mention this in the event Garmin employees maybe IT people at a desk playing video games and not bikers.
I apologize to other readers for sounding snarky.
Just as a matter of interest, which HR devices are they? Garmin Ant+, Garmin Dual or something else?
Garmin don’t take Information here as being conclusive ( they tell me ) and won’t interact to solve cases here.
Opening a case with support is the only way to save users from the dreaded ‘we’ve not heard of this problem before’ when contacting them.
I’ve had that response often, even when the same problem is widely reported here!!!
I feel that too often, Garmin make users go to extreme lengths in providing folders from their devices, photos and even videos to support their cases when that have already been widely reported!
I work closely with a virtual cycle platform and when there is an issue it is acknowledged to users immediately to save those users from having to check their equipment further.
Garmin could learn a LOT from that approach and it would also go a long way to help them to restore their ever decreasing credibility.
That’s so sad but so expected. My 1030 plus is going back to the shop this week for a refund and I’m going back to a Garmin 1000
Garmin sadly treat their customers like fools. We buy the new model in the hope that d problems will have been fixed. They add new features to drag customers in without resolving the core issues first. Also note the features that have been removed from the 1040 because they no longer worked. 3D map view has been around since at least the Edge 800. On the 1030 Plus thE road kept disappearing etc. it’s been removed for the 1040. The core features of the Varia Vision still worked in the 1030 Plus - one ore two new screens caused the display to go blank very occasionally but it worked apart from that - it’s no longer supported in the 1040.
New users will come along and these things will be unknown to them.
After 10 years with the Edge it’s time for me and others who feel the same to say Goodbye to Garmin, and that is very sad indeed.
I've been suffering from similar and mutiple (like every 30 sec or so) drops since installation of the 4.0 SPD update.
I have all the plus sensors and favero assioma duo pedals.
So I disconnected all sensors and let the 1030 find them again and now every time the 1030 prompts me to install the 4.0 SPD update I refuse to do so which results in no more dropouts.
I contacted product support concerning the issue and at first they had received no similar complaints but after a week or two they contacted me to inform me that they received similar complaints.
They're looking into it.
Until I get notified the bug has been fixed I refuse to execute the update each time I'm prompted to do so.
