Edge 1030+ and weather alerts / Garmin Connect IOS

I have a feeling that Garmin has finally fixed the inability to disable the weather alerts on 1030+ / IOS. I have not seen the alerts any more and the weather alert slider now stays at off position even after Edge restart. Can anybody else confirm this?

Running Edge 1030+ v6.40 and Garmin Connect IOS 4.54.1.2

Not a direct answer but, I have both Weather & Weather Alerts turned on ( iOS GC) and I've never had an alert since I had it last October ;-) I leave GC running on my phone constantly and always make sure my Edge is connected to it on a ride......

They are still happening. I get absolutely stupid wind warning messages when the winds are actually calm. This happened on my last two rides this week. I have disabled the location services every time I re-pair the device with the iPhone (which is another story).
