EDGE 1030 plus pairing to Pixel 6 phone

I have a new EDGE 1030 plus and can't get it to pair with my Pixel 6 pro phone.

I have an EDGE 1000 as well and that device pairs fine !

I also tried to pair the EDGE 1030 plus with my wife's phone (OnePlus 8) and also that does not work.

I have tried everything ... reinstalling Garmin Connect app, resetting the EDGE 1030 plus to factory settings ... so that all is fresh.

I tried pairing the device with a Chromebook and the Garmin Connect app on the Chromebook.

The pairing is fine there, but the setup process just halts in the middle, says there is an error (but not details about the error) and then asks to retry.

So considering to return the device and get my money back ...

I have a Pixel 6 (not Pro) and I've not had any problems.

Phew ... finally got it working ...

Reset EDGE 1030 plus and removed Garmin Connect from my phone.

Then reinstalled Garmin Connect, started up the EDGE 1030 plus and did the device setup from scratch.

Finally it connected the bluetooth and I could couple the device correctly.
