Related question, where do you pu the Tempe on the bike or on your person to get an accurate reading. I use one hiking and place it on a pack strap out of the sun.
Keeping this thread alive... I just used the suggestion box to ask for compatibility between the Edge units and the tempe sensor, maybe Garmin will eventually listen to us. I've used the tempe for years with my trusty old Dakota 20, and the temperatures it recorded were always reasonable. On a recent ride with my 1030 plus, the actual high was 84 degrees (I looked it up), the Edge consistantly read in the 90's, with a high of 127 degrees! I guess I'll try one of the two IQ apps mentioned in this thread. FYI, I mount my tempe under the saddle with a zip tie.
