Edge 1030 Plus Asian version and Unicode?

Hi,

I have an Edge 1030 Plus Asian version. I been trying to install some maps from different sources, and seems any unicode map do not work on this device.

Anyone else have experiences or know something about the Asian versions and Unicode combability issues?

Garmin (as usual) managed to screw up their anti-piracy routines so that Unicode maps no longer work on their devices. The Velomap website has a good explanation - go to https://www.velomap.org/download/odbl/ and then click on the "Non Unicode" heading at the top of the page.

Great and thanks! I just figured that out! Good its not me being a victim of an Asia version. But pretty bad unicode is not supported.
