Livetrack error code 44

Can't tell if this is a problem with the Edge 1030 Plus or with GCM. I have an Edge 1030 Plus with 6.10 FW, GCM is version 4.50 on a Pixel 6 Pro running Android 12. Once every few rides - say every 4th or fifth time, I start an activity, Livetrack starts, I set off, and then some indeterminate time later - it can happen after 30 seconds, sometimes after 30 minutes - the error message "Livetrack error code 44" appears at the bottom of the 1030 screen. When I look at GCM on the phone, it shows that the 1030 is still connected, but when I select the Livetrack menu in GCM, I see the "Start Livetrack" button, indicating that GCM thinks Livetrack is not running, and if I tap on "Start Livetrack", it tells me to start an activity first - it doesn't recognise that an activity is already running on the 1030.

I never saw this problem when I was using a 1030, it has only appeared since I have been using a 1030 Plus.

  • I know the problem. I make sure before any activity that the Garmin and the Motorola One Vision are connected. LTE+ network is also present at startup. But with me it is so that the message either comes immediately after starting or is stable over the 2-3 h.
