"Livetrack Failed" due to Connect data and privacy settings but they are correctly set.

I'm getting the message: "Livetrack Failed. Consent required. Please consent to location sharing in the Garmin Connect apps LiveTrack and Strava Data and Privacy Settings".

When I go to Garmin Connect and the LiveTrack page under data, it says "You are currently allowing LiveTrack and its realted features to use your location data. Would you like to opt out?" and the only option is the red "Opt Out" button.

Any suggestions?

    I'm also seeing this message. Live track has worked perfectly for a long time. My phone settings have not been changed and I have no idea of where to look to change the settings. I'm using a Iphone 12 and when I look at privacy settings and tracking, Garmin connect is not listed.

    I am seeing the same problem.  Is Garmin not monitoring this forum?

    Found easy fix. Delete Garmin connect mobile and then reinstall it. You will have to pair it again with the Edge which takes just a few minutes. Live track has worked perfectly since. 
    No, Garmin does very little monitoring of this forum. This is simply user to user.

    That did it.  Thank you so much.  Had just spent 20 minutes on phone with a nice Garmin support tech who went through all the settings with me, rebooting phone, updating iOS, etc.  None of that worked.

    I sent the Garmin tech your recommendation and suggested he pass it along to general tech support.

    What is so strange about the problem is that I checked all the settings on Garmin connect and the Iphone before I uninstalled Garmin connect and after the reinstall and there was no change in any of them. Garmin has too many problems like this that make us spend time trying to figure them out instead of riding our bikes. I really like the 1030 but Garmin's software team needs to put more effort into testing firmware to make sure all the features work correctly.
