Which Garmin watches are compatible with the Edge 1030 Plus?

Supposedly, I can see watch data on the "Extended Display" of my 1030 Plus.  However, when I try to pair the Edge and my Venu SQ watch, they don't pair up.

I have tried to look at compatible devices for Venu models, and for Forerunner models.  I've also looked at compatible devices for the Edge 1030 Plus.  The watches don't show any Edge computers, and the Edge computer doesn't show any watches.  I also tried using Google to ask the question, without any useful results.

So, I thought I'd ask here.  Which Garmin watches are compatible with the Edge 1030 Plus?
