sram etap battery indicator - level always shows full and does not change

Hi,

I just purchased a 1030 edge plus and have paired the SRAM etap (not AXS) sensor. It shows all of the shifting info as well as displays battery levels for all 4 components. Over the past couple of weeks the battery levels have always remained showing full charge even though I ride for a couple hours everyday. Yesterday my rear derailleur showed the red LED which indicates very low charge but still battery indicator in Garmin shows full

Any ideas?

I notice the same since the FW update on the Garmin that shows separate graphs for the front and rear derailleurs - I never see anything but a full set of bars for both. I now have to operate the RD on the workstand at the end of each ride to see if the LED indicator has changed from green to red to determine if the battery needs charging. With the older FW that just showed a single graph for the eTap batteries, it did actually show a reduction in shifter battery level as the charge reduced, though you had to go into the sensor details to see which battery was the one needing charge.

Sorry for the slow response - Had to figure out what a FIT file was and how to upload. Hopefully this is helpful in figuring out this issue. Thanks so much for your help! It would not allow an upload of a .FIT file so uploaded as a zip.

good to know that others are having this issue. I hope Garmin is aware and fixing this!

Next time you think the it is wrong could you take a screen shot of the Gear Battery data field and also visit the sensor about for each component and see what it shows.

just a refresh. iam having the same issue with eagle axs. it always shows battery full on the edge while today the der had the red led flashing indicating a low battery. is this an edge bug?
