Another Edge 1030+ Barometer Rain Thread

Hello Garmin fans. ... has anyone come up with a practical solution for the "water in the barometer" issue yet? I've tried various configurations of electrical tape (3M of course) to create a protected channel around the sensor hole (CW would say that you don't want to completely block it, but i'm sure the enclosure is not completely air tight so that it wouldn't matter - trying that tomorrow BTW). I have the mount at a steep angle too, but water will be water and somehow it still finds a way (seems like a bad Jurassic Park sequel - sorry..

Why do i care? Well, i set an elevation goal for the year and became somewhat OCD on elevation. So, yes i stop every few minutes and dry the openings and blow into them like everyone else. Bot today in doing so I happened to hit something that ripped my tire (and well replaceable values are my next /rant rant).

Failing self help, community help was the next thing and then maybe professional.

I think i just answered my question.

LMK if this makes it past the censors.

Peace.
