Buying secondhand!

I noticed there has been a price drop in the Garmin 1030 plus.

Was looking at buying one with a view of using it next year.

Just wondering what people’s views are about buying the above unit secondhand or is it best to wait to buy a new one. I understand that there have been issues with secondhand ones.

Not sure why a change of owner would itself cause an issue with the unit. I would personally not buy a band new model of garmin (or any other head unit) as they all seem to be very buggy on release, meaning the early adopter users are unpaid beta testers.
