Message: GPS signal is lost in Indoor Training even if set off in Indoor profile setup

So the question is... I have configured the Indoor training profile, and for this profile I've selected the GPS option to OFF (no GPS, no GPS+Galileo nor GPS+GLONASS, just OFF), but when I set the Indoor profile it seems is still looking for GPS as it is constantly appearing the message "GPS signal is lost" and then bip again (with no message) when GPS signal is found and then again the bip and the message of GPS signal is lost", and again and again... with the constant BIPS.

Does anyone know how to disable GPS for a profile to ensure GPS is trully OFF and not looking for a GPS signal?

By default the Indoor profile has the GPS off. You shouldn't need to change anything there. Maybe you inadvertently turned the GPS on for your indoor profile?

Thanks for your answer, but nope, as I wrote GPS appears off and in the GPS signal shows a crossed GPS signal icon, but anyway still showing messages and bipping "GPS signal is lost".. Thats the point.

It seems that GPS is off but internally still looking for GPS Signal, it seems a bug.

What activity are you doing with the Indoor profile? (e.g. indoor track, spin bike, smart trainer, dumb trainer)

Static bike, but it is indifferent, if you set an Activity with GPS off (it is a parameter linked to the activity profile you define) it seems is still looking for satelites....

Do you have the Map screen enabled?

For me I know this will activate GNSS to plot your current location on the map (and possibly also to calibrate the altimeter?). I primarily use the Edge with the trainer to 'Follow a Course'.

Where I have my trainer at present the indoor GNSS reception is good so I would not see any warnings about GNSS satellite signal loss to alert me to GNSS reception being enabled.

Nope, just data screen, no maps and no altitude either.

Same here (1030), came here looking for an answer after troubleshooting gps settings on the device. Seems to be new (2 weeks). Hopefully bug that will be fixed soon.

Same bug on my device (1030 Plus).Garmin connect then shows the map with zigzag lines in the activity.
