Edge 1030 Plus version 5.20 and Heart Rate

Since installing version 5.20, my Garmin seems to be incorrectly calculating my heart rate (too low). The three rides taken since then all have a noticable shift in the heart rate zone time from previous rides on the same route. Even going full out on an 18% grade that always gets me to the Anaerobic zone showed a much lower HR. Anyone else experiencing this?

Garmin head units don't calculate heart rate. They just report whatever the heart rate sensor is broadcasting. Any HR issues will be down to the HR sensor.

Today made update and discovered the same situation. Previously, the difference between watch Fenix6Pro and the Heart Belt was around 5%, now is around 10!!

The same here. 10% of diference. I'm not as fit as my 1030 plus says.

Do you know if garmin is working in this?

This is so frustrating. This is the first time I've jumped on a flagship device from Garmin (previously owned lower range Edge and Forerunners) and there are more issues with the 1030+ than any them. I don't understand why there's a HR issue when using a chest strap, the 1030+ is just receiving the data.

What? Never noticed any difference. Sure, I am using HRM-Tri and it is exactly the same. I hope you are not comparing it with OHR...

Sure 10% less. I was detecting that my heart rate was too low after the update.

I've been going cycling for more than 20 years, I know my body, and the heart rate showed by the computer is lower than the real heart rate.

As you haven't provide any relevant logs or information about your setup it is still just your feeling.

In my case - I have Edge1030+ and Fr935 connected to the same HRM strip and the readings is the same, during activity logged on both devices simultaneously is the HRM log the same. No issues.

Do you have a second device that could be paired to this same HR monitor to compare the readings? (I understand not everyone has multiple devices) There were no changes in this most recent update that would lower HR readings. The Edge will be reporting what it receives from the sensor.
