re-routing

I have seen reviews of the Hammerhead Karoo 2.   If you was to miss a turn it will re-route showing the new route at the same time the old one. I know the Garmin units will also re-rout if you was to miss any turn. But how will this compare to the Karoo 2? Is there any info/video on this?

  • My opinion based on my experience. I have a karoo 2. Its routing is simple and has no configuration options. no popularity routing, no avoidances, and only routes as a road bike rider. With the new 5. series firmware in the garmin 1030, the garmin is miles ahead with rerouting and navigation in general. My experience with the karoo has been a bit rubbish to be honest. Battery life is all over the place, 7hr or 10 hours (no more). Things break and basically you are a beta tester for a faily simple featured unit. Go check the karoo forums.
