Navigation Feature use Bike Paths Instead of Major Roads

I'm completely new to bike navigation and purchased a 1030 plus. When I use the Navigation feature to go to a destination it use major roads instead of marked bike trails. Here in Germany there are many marked bike trails that bypass Land or B Streets. I would much prefer when there are clearly parallel, or even not entirely parallel bike paths to use those than the L or B streets.
I have my profile set to Touring. Not sure where the Navigation feature determines whether or not to use bike paths as the preferred route instead of L or B streets.

Have you tried to play with the "avoidance" list? See Route Settings. Also see "Popularity routing".

I was looking at that last night after searching the forums for my issue. I have popularity routing turned on, maybe will try without and see if that works better.

I miss my old Garmin Edge Explore, I could follow whatever route from A to B without any kind of concern because it always calculate a very good route for MTB.
