Are the Edge 800 heartrate belt and cadence sensor useable by the Edge 1030 (Plus)

Hi,

I have an Edge 800 that’s not been used for several years due to me living abroad. Its battery is now underperforming, Therefore I thought I might upgrade to the 1030+.

Question: Will my Edge 800HR belt and cadence sensor be recognised by the Edge 1030?

Any experience in this matter?

Assuming they support either ANT+ or Bluetooth: yes, they will be recognized.

It’s simply that the recent cadence sensor looks quite different, and that garmin states that « most » Edge devices will be compatible with the following sensors (therefore not all, even if the sensors are ANT+), and not stating anything about previous sensors.
