Accedentley pause a ride.

I sometimes accidentally stop riding while navigating. But the navigation continues. riding is not recorded.
then when i notice sometime i start riding again. Between that stop, of course, a straight line comes out in strava and connect.
is not included in the ride, segments are not recorded, so they are lost. Is there any way to prevent this?
In the long tour in the known navigation, stop and go or something is forgotten in the chaos.
  • same, experienced yesterday., paused a ride , resumed ride, prompted me i was off course, i continue riding, i get the climb pro screen status, at the peak i took a break, paused the ride, resumed and headed back.....that segment was not recorded.

  • Suggest you try auto pause setting, that way you don't need to remember to stop and restart every time you pause for a break. Only time I don't have this enabled is during a timed event/race, where I want the elapsed time to keep running accurately.

  • There are a couple of options for addressing this. As suggested, Auto Pause will help with this as you would not need to manually stop or start anything when stopping.

Another option that is less automated would be to always have a Timer data field visible. This would give you something to glance at to make sure that you have the activity recording, as this value will always increase when activity is running.

  • the problem is that, the ride is being shown on screen as recording , i see my stats, i see climb pro,...but when i get home and finish the ride, i see that that segment was not recorded

  • Can you describe other stats that you see recorded? Specifically I would be curious if you have a "Timer" data field and if this displays anything. If this shows only zeroes, nothing will be recorded.

Also, when you "finish" your ride, what button combincation are you going through/what do you see on the screen. For example, the Green Start/Play symbol, or do you see the Red Square/Stop symbol.

I don't mean to cause frustration by asking basic questions, just trying to determine what may be happening remotely.
