Device transfer worked on edge 1030 plus but recently stopped working

My husband and I both have a Garmin 1030 plus gps. Until recently we have been able to transfer courses between devices using device transfer but now we get a transfer failed message every time. This may have started with software update 5. Is there anything we can do to fix this?
