I have the same issue on the 830. Hope they will fix it with an update on short notice. I noticed the problem when the software was updated to version 8.10.

With firmware 6.24 no solution yet..they don't take is seriously at Garmin!!

I have just bought a 1030 plus and I have detected this same problem.
In 3D navigation the screen freezes in white every few seconds.
version 6.73 installed.
Any solution? Is there any firmware version in which this works?

how could I downgrade?

I don't think this will ever be fixed. 3D option was eliminated on the 1040. Probably too much for the small cpu to handle.
