Duo speed and cadence bike sensor not displaying values

I just purchased a garmin edge 1030 and paired successfully the sensor on my bike .

but the cadence data field remained at  0.

the speed came from GPS and when I tried to disable GPS, the  speed stayed at 0.

the sensor is a 2020 Suunto speed and cadence sensor . When paired the two logo speed and cadence are shown .it is an unique device . I tried it again on the suunto watch and all was ok. 

this sensor was paired through BLE. 

edit ok solved the problem the sensor must be added as speed/cadence sensor I added it under cadence
