New sounds ?

I wrote to the support : 
" How to add new sounds in Garmin ? I want the sounds to be different. For example, the sound of birds. In which folder are they added ? What format are they in ?
If there is no such possibility , can you add it to the new updates for Edge 1030 Plus ?

I agree that creating your own tones / tone sequences on the Edge is totally dispensable (and it is not possible), but the Edge is quite capable of playing something like melodies (tone sequences).
You just have to listen!
For example, the end of a navigation is announced by a real melody - 12 tones sequence!
A tone sequence also sounds when starting.

huh, you're correct. I've never heard those in all the time I've had the unit, lol, but they're indeed there.

Would be really good if you could select your own melody/sound in RTTL(Nokia ringtone) format https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ring_Tone_Text_Transfer_Language for every event... but I don't expect this will ever come from Garmin. Only smaller companies are listening their customers...

Garmin needs to score different tones for Varia, lap, etc.
