Dear users,
Hopefully soon we will have the chance to ride cyclosportives again and I will be able to use the ClimbPro funktionality.
In preparing an upcoming cyclosportive however I encounter some barriers that I need some help with.
I want to race against myself, haven ridden most of the sportives in the past.
First I loaded a previous activity on the device and selected 'Training->Race an activity' and selected the activity.
The overview was clear, the climbs were recognized, so I selected 'Ride' and the unit started to recalculate.
For an activity of 140 km (7 hrs) it took several hours for the device to decide it had not enough memory (got an error saying that).
I fired up BaseCamp and reduced the number of course-points from 25.000 to 2.500 (filter: automatic).
However, also this reduced file could not be handled by the device (same error).
I hesitate to further reduce course points. Perhaps it will not impact ClimbPro (because it will use the recalculated course? Please confirm).
But the information on how far ahead/behind I will be compared to my virtual self will be limited to once every 1-2 minutes.
And this is for a 140 km course, but next course is 270 km, so with even fewer points per time period.
What is the best way to do this?
Anyone of you already used the 'race against activity' successfully?
