Garmin Edge 1030 Plus. History page.

I have a G 1030 P device and am slowly trying to get it doing exactly what I want. I did ask on here about the appearance/non appearance of a 'cycling icon on the History page. I got a super answer that cleared it up for me. However, prior to getting that answer I did mess with it a bit (big mistake) and now even if I monitor the ride on my mobile phone I get nothing about the ride on my Garmin. I have tried just about every suggestion on Google and You Tube but not success so far. I have just been for a ride with the mobile phone. The ride has come up on the mobile and the computer screen via Strava but there is nothing on the Garmin Edge 1030 Plus. Help please !

Krasi, thanks for that super fast reply. It sounds good. However, I must admit to being someone to whom anything with a microchip in it is a potential problem. I have only had the device a few weeks and spent a lot of that time getting the Garmin device and the Garmin Connect App on my moble phone working together. If I do adjust the settings back to their defaul values the device does tell me that ride history will be maintained but I wonder 'Will the device/phone connection be lost. Thanks,

Connecting devices is easy.
You're just not used to it.

I'm not fully understanding the problem. Are you saying that the Garmin is showing the ride data while you are cycling but afterward there is no record of the ride on the Garmin?
