Gradient lag - best Connect IQ replacement

Having issues with my 1030 Plus updating the current gradient in real time - i.e. it's very laggy - and it looks like this is a problem other 1030 Plus owners are facing too. While waiting for Garmin to fix that, what're the best replacements (fastest / most responsive) for the gradient field available on Connect IQ at the mo?

    First things first: as long as the barometric altitude change reacts too sluggishly, the gradient display will not work fast even with IQ datafields.
    As far as I know, there are 2 IQ datafields where you can intervene in the calculation of the slope display yourself:

    -Appbuilder 5:

    -HMs DIY:
    here you can use "number of values" to set the time span over which the evaluation is done.

    Or simply search the IQ store for „gradient“...
