Giant ride sense 2 (cadendence/speed) sensor no speed values from sensor (ok on Fenix 6)

I sold the bike with the sensor so no idea whether the issue persisted. I used the power meter for the cadence data instead. 

Hi Lee, Is the magnet close enough to the sensor for it to pick it up. I had the same issue and it was the magnet wasn’t in the right place therefore wasn’t being picked up. You should see the sensor light up if the magnet is in the right location. 

I believe so, I tried my older 510 and it picked up both speed and cadence, the 1030 wont pick up either

You should to be able hear it clicking if the magnet is in the right place. It’s hard to hear. Another tip is to hold the bike up and spin the rear wheel for a few mins with the Garmin searching for the sensor. It’s very trial and error but you should get there with a bit of playing about, 

I have tried all sorts. My old garmin still connects and pick up cadence and speed so I think its the 1030 at fault

If it’s new might be worth a factory reset just to rule anything else out. I know mine was a pain to get going to start but was ok in the end. Annoying though as it works on other devices. 

LeeHancock1967 Are you able to pair to this sensor, but not see data? Or is your Edge not even able to pair to the sensor? 

I did the factory reset last night and repaired it. Yay it now works.
