Edge 1030 plus not interacting well with tacx flux 2

I am using the 1030 plus to record my indoor training activity on a tacx flux 2, tacx app with movies for the route. However, the 1030 also sends commands to the tacx so that the resistance varies unpredictably, not according the to tacx movie. I did NOT install the tacx as indoor trainer, just coupled the cadence and power sensor. How can you avoid that the edge 1030 actually takes over control of my tacx flux?

  • I use this combination Tacx App / Tacx NEO / Edge 1030, but my Edge does not affect the trainer.

Check if all connections between Flux and Edge are via ANT+ (not BT).

  • Hi there, thanks for your reply. Great to see it can work. How can I exclude BT vs ANT+, it seems that you do not have a choice? Just simply turn off BT perhaps?

  • Let‘s take for example Power sensor.

You have connected your Flux as powersensor to your Edge.
Turn on Flux, turn on Edge and wait for the „power sensor connected“ statement.
Now go on your Edge to the sensor screen - power sensor - info: here you can see what kind of connection is established: ANT or BT.
If it is BT then deactivate the sensor. Don‘t delete him!
Now start a new search for power sensor. It should now be found as ANT sensor. Connect it.

    Hope you are successsful!

  • Hi there, followed your procedure, and indeed now it works! One other thing I might have done wrong earlier is that I connected the edge to tacx as indoor trainer. Only connecting to the sensors makes all the difference. Thanks for your help and support!

Best regards, and again, many thanks!
