I've had an Edge 500, 800 and 1000 as well as several Etrexs and a Vvioactive. Still have them all and use the current versions. They have all gone through a series of software updates to resolve their alpha and beta firmware issues. For $600 I'm no longer willing to be a tester. Can't turn off "Sharp turn Warning", minimum elevation increment of 100' on the elevation screen. severely delayed grade change update info. Yesterday it was always 200 meters ahead of reality on the map. I'm sure it will get fixed someday and then I will take another look. For now I'll live with my weak beeping short battery life 1000.
It's back in the box for UPS drop off tomorrow.
