How do I change the time and date on my EDGE 1030 Plus?

I have paired my EDGE 1030 Plus with my smartphone and syncronized both. however the time on my Garmin differs from the time on my Smartphone. I have done several sucessful sync between the devices but the time still is different. how do I solve this?

Hi, to make sure the time is correct on the 1030 plus take it outside, turn it on and let it get a GPS fix. That will pull down the correct time for the Garmin

What I did with mine to get the date and time correct was, I went outside and made I wasn't near any buildings or under any trees so as to not obstruct connectivity with satellites. Then I switched on…

My 1030 got the date wrong on an outside ride. I don't ride inside. Garmin tech told me to go out on another ride to check the date. Is there no way to look at the date when you turn it on?

How can you see the date? I see the time, but not the date....
