UPDATE:
Today there was an update available and suddenly I have the option to install Asian OSM City maps via Garmin Express... It tells me 10hr installation time, so I haven't tried it yet

Today I updated the Singapore map via GE and Ive lost teh street map. See separate thread.
As a work around Ive tried downloading the topo map and it works. I don't really understand what all the mapping files do and what the implications are renaming to be the base file. What do I lose/gain by doing this?
It seems that the UTF file don't work or Im doing something wrong.
FYI The SRAM Hammerhead Karoo 2, a way better device, lets you on the device select anywhere in the world to select the map area you want for free and downloads it quickly over Wifi. I’ve selected Singapore, which I visit rarely, even though I live in Vancouver Canada.
