Ajust auto backlight

Is there a way to increase the auto backlight settings so it is brighter under low light conditions ? It is really hard to read during the night time and I am obliged to switch to manual.

It seems like this does not apply to the 1030 plus :

  • 100% agree that auto backlight is just plain unusable. I made the mistake of unboxing my 1030 plus at night and what a shock it was to see the dim night mode with washed out text on a washed out black background. Of course auto backlight was on and it was night time. During the day the display is magnificent. When using auto backlight the backlight actually gets brighter when the sun is more intense, and when I go through a tunnel the screen dims to dark side of the moon mode. As I have read in several posts on these forums I would like the backlight to go off during bright sunlight and come on when I'm in the dark. The hardware works it just seems that the algorithm for the brightness settings are reversed. So I just keep my 1030 plus on day mode with the brightness set at 60% and the backlight timeout for 15 seconds. I ride mostly during the day now so I don't need the backlight on all the time.
