Garmin - please change history line thickness - behavior

Hi

I have an big issue , I don't understand why Garmin changed history line color , or at least I remember that was thicker and easy to read

While purple line for navigation is ok , history line is very very thin, and the color is not distinguish at all

In the woods because of the reflections , I cannot see where I have ride before , why you cannot put the history line as thick as the navigation line?

To be honest I cannot use my Garmin 1030   , comparing to the competition

Here is "readable", but in actual use is not

Please , please fix this

  • Small detail: when I‘ve got my 1030 PLUS and have set it up I changed history line color to dark yellow successfully (month ago). One or two weeks later it was not possible to change it to another color. Since then I have a dark yellow history line

  • For those of you who cannot get the history color changes to stick, can you please let me know which of the below scenarios is what you are seeing?

    • The menu reflects the change you made, but the color when recording an activity does not change
    • When checking again in the menu, it shows that the color was not actually changed

I am trying to determine if the menu does not stick with your change after you exit, or if it actually changes but doesn't reflect in the activity. Thank you in advance.

  • the menu reflect the change of the color(even after exit, even after restart of the device )  but the recording line does not change , for example mine stick with green, I have post the pictures above

so the second line is not valid

  • the menu reflect the change of the color(even after exit, even after restart of the device )  but the recording line does not change

    Same to me!

  • Now , a little big off-topic , is there any setting in Edge 1030(+) in order to have the map more visible, or simple ?...

Different map  ,or some hidden setting ?

I don't like to bring this in discussion or comparison but I had an Wahoo Roam for few days,  and what have they did, beside the display been non reflective,  the map is simple and usable,is very very visible

Garmin is very very detailed but somehow is hard to follow.

  • Is it okay to add you to an internal case to escalate this issue? If so, do we have your permission to access your Garmin Connect account if needed?

  • That's what I have reported to Garmin 3 months ago:
There are 3 modes for map visibility: Auto, Custom and High Contrast. The three modes store their settings separately (including History Line Color). Only the color set in Auto mode is used no matter what mode is currently active. You first have to set mode to Auto, change the color and switch back to your desired mode. It should but easy for Garmin to fix that, but...

Thumbs up for thicker history lines!!!

Btw: High Contrast shows a more visible pointer on the map, but only until the device is rebooted.

    Same issues in Edge 1030!

  • Former Member of course you have permission!
If needed I can supply a zip of my device.

  • good that they pick you, I am out of season and with 2 weeks break :)

    going on third

  • Yes I know about the pointer on the map visible

Hmm i have changed also from auto to high, i have to play with this

Another question to Garmin, why is not posible to have old magenta history line?
