Weather warnings not sticking

I’m frustrated by the weather warnings on every single ride despite repeatedly turning the weather services off in Garmin Connect >> devices >> general >> weather. Has anyone worked out how to make this stick?

I searched the forums and found plenty of complaints but no solutions.

    Ditto. I had fog warning all morning and it was a sunny day. I don't need weather warnings! How can I turn these off?

    The manual says weather data is transferred from your connected phone, and mentions this in connection with heat acclimation.  I don't see a setting to turn this off when the phone is connected.

    So you have to decide how badly you want to turn this feature off, since it seems to require NOT connecting your phone to your Edge.

    Note: I live in Southern California, where the weather never changes.  I've never seen a weather warning on my various Edge computers, so maybe I don't know what I'm talking about.
