Yesterday was an EPIC FAIL for my 1030 Plus.
I finally figured out part of the problem, at least. I had a route on Strava (first one ever) that overrode a route with the same name that I had put into new files. I'll never do that (make a Strava route) again!
For some reason I kept getting disconnected from my Stages power meter (with cadence), my HRM AND my iPhone. Once I stopped and restarted everything which worked for awhile but not the whole ride.
Then when I looked at my ride on Strava, there was a straight line connecting two points (far apart) and the mileage was way off.
Needless to say I was frustrated. Much of it comes from the poor (IMHO) way of finding how to do something on the 1030 Plus if you don't have the manual in your hands.
I'm seriously considering carrying my old Garmin 800 in my back pocket and running it simultaneously as a backup. That'll likely cause issues too, who knows???
If it's not one thing, it's another!
