virtual partner - no thanks! Garmin please respond

I am clearly not the only one hating this annoying feature. Can somebody at Garmin respond to this issue please.

this feature is super annoying to people who do not need it
there is no mechanism on the Edge 1030 to disable it

More generally, this is just one example of forced features who serve only a small percentage of users but do not include any disabling mechanism. And, if a disabling mechanism is to be added then pease DISABLE the feature by default.

You can remove the screen out of the profile, then the annoying partner disappears.

System/ Activity profiles/ choose profile/ data screens( in Dutch:gegevensschermen) / select virtual partner/ delete.

I just now had the chance to verify...

There is no "virtual partner" data screen on my 1030+ bummer. Where else could it be?

You can add or/and remove the „virtual partner“ trainings page.

But this has no effect to the fact that the virtual partner (big triangle) is shown on your map page. You cannot get rid of him!

This problem is not only related to 1030+. It existing in whole new EDGE family 530/830/1030/1030+

I'm another one who thinks this is a totally stupid and useless feature,and would welcome the ability to not have it happen every time I'm navigating a course.
