No calibration prompt for power meter

So, another niggle and a problem I also had on my Edge 1030. I have my Quarq DZERO powermeter connected by Bluetooth and 'Calibration Prompt' enabled.

Whilst the powermeter and Edge 1030+ connect straight away on power-up, I am never prompted to calibrate my power meter. However, if I connect via ANT+, then I do get a prompt to calibrate.

So, you'll all say I should use ANT+ which is fine, but it still doesn't avoid the fact that there is an underlying problem here.

  • My experience is: if i put the Edge to sleep mode, there is no calibration promt message over ANT+ after a power on, if i switch it off completely and back, there is message. How do You try it, with sleep or with full power off and on?

but update your DZero firmware to #10, and switch on the MagicZero feature,  and You wont need manual zeroing .

  • Thanks, . I didn't know that the DZero firmware had been upgraded from 7 to 10 so I have done that now.

I find that there is no calibration prompt when turning my Edge on after a full power off so there is sttill a problem with the unit not asking for a calibration. Possibly another bug for Garmin to sort out sometime...
