Sensor dropped and won't reconnect

I have run into this problem a number of times where my power/cadence, Di2 and HR sensors are all dropped by 1030+ at exactly the same time and won't reconnect. The only way to solve the problem is stop and save the ride and reboot. Interestingly, the speed sensor isn't dropped. This happened today again, and this time I didn't stope and save the ride. When I did finish the ride, Garmin Connect could not sync with the 1030+. I had to reboot the device to allow it to sync. I guess it also tosses the blue tooth to the side of the road as well.

Anyone know of a way to not have to stop and save and reboot to get the sensors connected with the 1030+. This is really frustrating as it makes any ride analysis totally useless. And since Garmin does not offer a way to combining files, this is catastrophic for pro riders (no I am not a pro rider however I am working with world tour teams stuff like this is going to drive trainers and coaches absolutely catatonic).
