too sensitive accident detection

Good morning all. I tested the crash detection function on the 1030 plus in road and mountain bikes. Each time there have been false alarms. The accident detection was even activated on a road bike on a tarmac road without relief. Is it possible to adjust the sensitivity? How to remove these false alerts. Thanks for your help

  • Yes I have the same issue. I have had it trigger twice now in a few days, each time after I had just stopped at the side of the rode, no bump or anything. Don't know what triggers it? The first time was a real pain. I had full fingered gloves on and by the time I had realised what it was, got my gloves off and cancelled it, it had already sent messages via my phone to my emergency contacts. I had to then message them to tell them to ignore! I have had to turn it off.

  • Same for me, but for me is a little more weird behaviour. In MTB till now it did not trigger in, I can jump, big bumps, etc, and no issue, but in Road cycling I have several times the alarm. All of them without any hard break, no bump, nothing, just stop on a traffic light.

I think something is wrong with accident detection in this device.

  • I'm finding this too sensitive as well, just stopping and clipping out can cause the incident detection alarm to sound

  • I found this today having stopped at traffic lights. Couldn't stop the alert for some reason. Just been reading through the user manual but it doesn't seem you can change settings so that it is less sensitive. However found this, if this helps you:-

Sending a Status Update After an Incident

Before you can send a status update to your emergency contacts, your device must detect an incident and send an automated emergency message to your emergency contacts.

You can send a status update to your emergency contacts informing them you are not in need of assistance.

    1 2

Swipe down from the top of the screen, and swipe left or right to view the controls widget. Select Incident Detected > I'm Okay.
A message is sent to all emergency contacts.

  • yea, it is too sensitive and it has been never triggered by a real accident, only on traffic lights or on front of a gate to my home on a bumpy road :D But what I really don't understand why it has to be so crazy loud. It just can't wait 20 seconds and let me to cancel it if it is a false alarm?

  • I agree it is too sensitive and needs an adjustment to prevent false alerts from normal stops.

  • Hoeft dit dan niet met de telefoon kan het met het GPS apparaat .dus gewoon het scherm naar beneden halen en naar links en rechts en dan insident waarnemen .en bericht in geven ik ben in orde
