1030 won't transfer sensors or profiles

Just got my new 1030 plus.  When I go through the set up, it prompts to add sensors and profiles but fails to sync.  It says failed to,connect to,server.  I have reset the 1030 and tried several times.  I can't get it to sync unless I skip the sensor add and do a manual setup but then I have ot manually ad everything.    Anyone else have this issue?

    What‘s your previous device?
    Have you updated your previous device to last software version and did you record and sync one ride at least with your previous device?

    My previous device is the 1030, completely updated.  The 1030 plus just won't finish the sync during initial startup.  It says server error in gamrin connect on my phone.

    My setup worked - before Garmin shutdown!
    Maybe there are some problems pending from shutdown.

    Had this problem too when I got mine on Monday. My personal data came over but no sensors despite having synced all sensors recently. I ended up just copying over the file from my old Edge 1030 and this worked perfectly.

    Apart from that, it's been great to use - loving the increased battery life and the screen that actually works Smile

    that is my thought, I wonder if it has to do with the shutdown

    I had the same problem. But after setup my profile manually I noticed my Bluetooth connection with my mobile phone (Samsung S9) wasn’t working correctly. it looks connected but wasn’t able to synchronize. 
    I updated in GC the firmware to Beta version. 2.42 the connection problem keeps. Then I removed, with firmware 2.42 the Garmin from my profile in Connect and renew the connection with my mobile phone. 
    After this step everything works fine. I setup my 1030 manual and will not try again but maybe someone will try with the new firmware. I suggested the new firmware solves the Bluetooth connection which wasn’t stable.
    Now it synchronizes flawless.

    if I do a manual set up I can sync no problem.  But I want to go through the directed setup to get the profile and sensor transfer, that is where it wont sync.  After you click next to transfer the profiles it just hangs, then says can't sync to garmin connect server

    tried again today, got it to transfer sensors, not profiles.  I can live with that.

    I ran into the same issue.  Garmin support is looking into the issue. I just had to manually input profiles and sensors.

    I will receive my new 1030 plus next week. Will it tranfer sensors form a Fenix 6 Pro Solar and a Fenix 5X?
