Incident Detection on 1030 Plus

I guess something has changed with Incident Detection.

I tried this feature with my 1030, and decided that it wasn't really workable.  If I entered my driveway, going over a very small lip on the curb (maybe 1/2 inch), then stopped 25-30 feet later at the entrance to my garage, an incident was detected.

The 1030 Plus is acting the same way.  So I want to turn this feature off.  The user's guide says:
Turning Incident Detection On and Off
1 Select > Safety & Tracking > Incident Detection.
2 Select the activity profile to enable incident detection.

When I go into Safety & Tracking > Incident Detection, all I see is a message that I must set up emergency contacts in the iPhone Connect app.  There is no option to enable / disable the feature.  (I also looked at my Activity Profile, and I don't see any option to enable / disable Incident Detection there.  Yesterday, I had one emergency contact enabled, and she saw the incident message.  I have turned off all emergency contacts.

It that how you enable / disable Incident Detection now?

  • On the 1030+, on the main screen select the hamburger icon (three horizontal bars) >then Safety and Tracking>then you can select which profile you would like to disable incident protection.
