Training Effect staying at 0 on 1030+

I am using the 1030 plus for a month. Today training effect did not work on my edge it did remain at 0 for my 3 hours ride. Does any body experience the same problem?

At mid ride I started my Fenix6x just to make sure sensors were ok, and it recorded TE correctly, On the good side Varia radar did not disconnect today.

Thanks jim_rm, you are right, my rides are close and also finishes after midnight. I was thinking that this might be the reason so I started to end the ride before closing to midnight, and didn't happen…

Hey, my edge 1030 plus has the same issue. Occasionally, it show 0.0 TE after ride that certainly was more than 0.0. Also my wife has the same problem on her Edge 1030 plus. once or twice per week it reports as the training was ineffective.

Also seeing this intermittently. Not happy at all when it happens. All other data looks good and using the latest firmware.

I have determined that it was the HRM I was using. The schosche arm band. It did not send the same data that my Wahoo Tickr did.

My results were different (more normal) after the next ride with a proper chest strap.I now only use my Wahoo ticker and have seemingly more stable post ride data.

@Garmin-Blake here's a activity. I don't see it on every ride.

I do often sleep or power down my Edge 1030 Plus after the ride and later boot it and sync (when I am in a position to comment/upload pics, etc.). It feels like that might matter. But that could be an illusion. It is not consistent.

Re: the HR strap comment. I am using a Garmin dual HRM and the data looks fine. Also Vector 3 power pedals (which have worked perfectly after the last battery door replacement).

I will also note that Strava's PMC doesn't seem to have an issue getting the right TSS from these rides.

Hi,

In my case it is always going to happen , when I have a device Edge 1030 Plus reset during ride,

After this my Traing Load is 0 etc.

For Blake. This just happened to me. All data appears to have been collected properly, yet I got a load figure of zero. I'm running V11
