Ride with GPS (RWGPS) missing from Connect store for 1030 Plus

Just migrated from a 1030 to a 1030 plus. On the 1030 really enjoyed using the Ride with GPS connection to pull routes into the unit. Followed the instructions again and RWGPS is missing in the 1030 Plus Connect store. Anyone know the reason for this? Don't use Strava routes for routing.

I contacted RWGPS and they said they don't have time right now to update the app for the 1030 plus and for the time being just pin routes and they will upload to Garmin Connect. I like the app too, hope they upgrade soon. Try contacting RWGPS support and let them know, the more of use that contact them the quicker they'll update the app

Why not use the automatic route sync option with RWGPS? It is easier than the CIQ app. Just link and pin. Routes transfer on next sync.

There is also Dynamic Watch's routeCourse. I like it because it integrates with RifewithGps pinned routes. It also let's you exclude cue sheet entries and Virtual Partner speed on all downloaded routes.

I did notice today they have not upgraded for the 1030plus. They are very responsive and if you ask them they will probably update quickly. I updated my IQ data fields for the 1030plus.- it took about 10 minutes.

Since this device is only a few days old, we do not have any plans to create a IQ app for the 1030+ at this time, as we have a very small team (20 folks total in the company) and this is not going to fit in our development schedule. Each device that Garmin puts out has to have an entirely new app built for it to go in the IQ store. You can see our full list of IQ compatible devices here

Note that routeCourse will be available in the Connect IQ app store for the Edge 1030 Plus later this week.
