Round trip course creator—— No elevation data provided to compare routes!

When I use the round-trip course creator no elevation data is provided. Even when I save the pre-created course to my unit no elevation data or profile is shown. This is a handy feature that I use quite frequently on my older unit. I found it helpful to compare routes. Hopefully this will be fixed.

I'm seeing the same thing. I have created a ticket with Garmin on it.

Check your maps to see if there is DEM map for the region you are in. My unit was missing the DEM map for NA.

Can you provide a list of the img files on the unit?

I'm currently trying deselecting the maps for my region and then re-selecting them.

That fixed it for me.

Note the Edge will take long time to restart after loading the maps so let it complete the process.

In Garmin Express for the 1030+ select the Manage Map option.

That should then give access to various map sets.

Deselect (untag) the maps for your region and apply the change. Then enable it again and apply.

It looks like you do have 2 DEM maps on your unit.

Check what region they are for

Activity Profiles -> profile you are using -> Navigation -> Map -> Map Information

Look to see what DEM maps you have and whether they are enabled.

It appears that this could be the problem. During the process of setting it up I kept getting messages that my maps need to be updated. I would click update maps and nothing would happen .....I believe I accidentally may have checked South America. When I went to that page to “manage Maps” it appeared that South America and New Zealand were checked. I checked the box United States and it’s taking like an hour and a half to reload the maps and it said it was going to delete New Zealand and South America as well. Hopefully this will do it.
