I've had the Edge 1000 for a few years now. In all that time I never really used the map/guidance part; I'm pretty good at and actually prefer finding my own way and found it a distraction most of the time. In fact I never paid attention to it or it's real time data at all during a ride and just reviewed it in Garmin Connect.
I have premium heart strap, speed and cadence sensors with the Edge. These are all equally critical for me.
I now have a Fenix 6X, which I understand can have the 3 sensors connected. Could I retire the Edge and get the same data from the Fenix in the way I currently do?
If I relied on map/guidance features it'd be a different story.
